We host an annual information security event “BSides Edmonton” this event plus our minimal overhead (things such as our website and domain) costs around $100,000 per year, as a result BSides Edmonton Information Security Foundation is seeking to raise $100,000 this year in our fund-raising campaigns. and we are incorporated in Edmonton Alberta.

 

The cost is recuperated thanks to our event sponsors, donors and ticket sales.

 

In order to make our event more accessible we currently offer deeply discounted tickets to students, provide a limited number of complimentary tickets to local professional organizations, and record our talks and make them available free online after the event.

Your donation will help us to be able to provide more accommodations to make our event accessible, potentially allow us to discount tickets further, or be able to invest and improve the event.
